The CALEIDOS project (http://www.caleidos-life.eu) evaluated the performance of many in silico models, comparing the experimental values submitted by registrants within REACH with those predicted using QSAR and read across.

Topics:

• QSAR, REACH and the CALEIDOS project;
• Non-testing methods for mutagenicity, carcinogenicity and developmental toxicity;
• Non-testing methods for logP, BCF and fish acute toxicity;
• Toxread: a new tool to make read across reproducible;
• The results of the read across exercise;
• The steps to improve the use of non-testing methods;
• The needs and possibilities of the use of in silico methods;
• A strategy for PBT prioritization of chemicals
