PHOTO CONTEST PER IL NUOVO SITO WEB DI FELASATEST

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

Any member of a FELASA member association can participate and send

pictures. The participation is a personal process and individuals should

send their pictures directly to FELASA.

PICTURES’ OWNERSHIP

By sending pictures to FELASA, participants confirm owning the pictures’

copyright, and they give rights to FELASA to use, freely and whenever,

all pictures sent, without any mention of credits, ownership or

authorship, and without any fee. All pictures can be used by FELASA,

whether awarded or not. The senders also keep the right to use their

pictures. FELASA has the right to decide whether to use a picture or not.

AWARD

The three first ranked pictures will be awarded a prize of 200 € each.

The authors will be awarded personally.

HOW TO COMPETE?

You are kindly invited to send pictures, preferably batches of photos. A

batch would include at least five pictures. More will be welcome. Files

must be gathered in an identified numeric archive. Ideally, the files

could be named “name of the author _ name of the member

association_photo number_FELASAphotocontest2020”. The files must be

sent to felasabox@gmail.com _BEFORE 15TH JANUARY 2021_.

PICTURE SELECTION

The judging panel will rank pictures according to the following criteria:

–          Technical quality of the picture (colour, composition,

clearness, sharpness…)

–          Images of animals that can give a welfare example

–          Images related to LAS without animals

–          Human animal interactions

–          Interest for use in communication and illustration

–          Pictures shall not permit the identification of persons or

institutions

–          Humorous or atypical situations that could be

subject to interpretation by laypersons will be excluded. These criteria

will be very important. FELASA being a scientific association, the panel

will prefer realistic pictures that show animals or scientific

environments in an ethical and professional context.

TECHNICAL FEATURES

Pictures shall be numeric photographs or figures with a format compatible

with the publication in a website. Requested format: .pdf/ .jpeg / .jpg /

.png with a maximum definition of 300 dpi.

CONFIDENTIALITY

The names and email addresses of participants will be kept in confidence

and only for the purpose of the competition.
